Subject: Fix your Team practice periods
Date: September 18, 2026

Practice is dragging. The sun is setting.

Now it’s Team time.

You wait for the scout team to put the pennies on, or the beanies. How do these kids get dressed in the morning!?

Only nine kids came out, so you take a minute to give the JV jersey tuckers some up-downs as a reminder. Didn’t work last week, but maybe this is the time they learn their lesson.

The scout coach fumbles with the cards. He finally picks out a play. Holds it up in the scout huddle.

“Which line am I, coach?”

Four different kids ask that question.

Finally, they break the huddle.

The ball is snapped.

Fumble.

The whistle blows. They line up to try again.

This time your defensive line blows up the scout team. The reluctant ball carrier is sacrificed in the backfield.

And the circus starts over again.
